Introduction
The European Culture and Health Hub (ECHH) will strengthen and advance the field of arts, culture, health and wellbeing across Europe, creating momentum for broader systemic change and cross-sectoral collaboration.
The project is a partnership between 15 organisations across 13 countries. It is coordinated by Turku University of Applied Sciences. You can find out more on the dedicated ECHH website.
Aims
Over three years the project aims to:
1. Strengthen the evidence base underpinning arts and health policy and practice through three online evidence gap maps and the identification of further research opportunities.
2. Foster the implementation of the best scalable and replicable cross-sectoral arts and health practices via mixed-methods evaluation.
3. Raise awareness of the impacts of arts and culture on health, wellbeing and social inclusion through a wide reach awareness campaign and targeted sessions.
4. Foster policy discussions, knowledge exchange and cross-sectoral cooperation through a dedicated interdisciplinary, interactive hybrid platform.
5. Equip policymakers and practitioners with tools, recommendations, showcasing opportunities and barriers, and practical guides to implement sustainable cross-sectoral policies and programmes in arts and health.
At UCL, our team will focus on strengthening the evidence base underpinning policy and practice, producing evidence gap maps, making recommendations for future research investment and co-producing evidence briefings.
We will also work to identify and share important, influential and innovative policies on culture, arts, health and wellbeing within the European region.
